Coquitlam Centre is looking for aspiring teenaged writers to blog about "What They're Shopping For."

Students must be between the ages of 13 and 18 years old and attending school full time to be their official teen blogger for 2012.

To apply, teens need to submit a 300-word blog post on a topic of their choice by March 29, keep in mind, the winning candidate is required to blog on all things associated with Coquitlam Centre.

Five finalists will be selected to attend a VIP event on Wednesday, April 4 where they will be receiving their assignment packages with full details about the competition and a writing and fashion workshop from Style Editor Catherine Dunwoody.

These finalists will be required to submit weekly original content on their choice of provided topics for four weeks, and need to actively promote their posts on their own social networks to get the most "likes" to win. The finalists will compete on social networks to determine the weekly winners, but the grand prize winner is chosen by Coquitlam Centre.

Deborah Stetz, marketing director at Coquitlam Centre says, "We are eager to get the youth of community excited about what's new at Coquitlam Centre and to give teenaged aspiring writers a chance to build their portfolios. This is a great opportunity for the winner to gain a unique insight into the shopping centre industry."

All of the finalists and guests will be invited to the Celebrity Make-Over Party in the Pandora Style Lounge on May 9 and will receive a $200 Coquitlam Centre Gift Card, and a deluxe swag bag.

The grand prize winner will take home a new Apple iPad or iPhone 4S (teen's choice), a celebrity make-up station, $500 Sephora gift cards, and a behind the scenes internship at Coquitlam Centre.
