Heritage fun

Enjoy some history in the city this Saturday during Mackin House Museum’s Heritage Summer Fair.

On July 9 from noon to 4 p.m., there will be something for everyone to enjoy. Children can join in heritage games, participate in making historical crafts listen to stories.

There will also be music and tours of the museum and the railway station ongoing throughout the daay. Car buffs will enjoy the antique cars on display.  Food will be plentiful with refreshments provided by the Tim Hortons Community Cruiser, along with popcorn and ice cream.

Volunteers will demonstrate traditional baking in the 1915 kitchen with apples provided by the Oppenheimer Group.

The event is free but donations are appreciated. Mackin House Museum is located at 1116 Brunette Ave., Coquitlam.
