SD43 students promote TED talks, deadline Thursday
School District 43's Student Leadership Council is looking for young people to share their views, ideas and inspiration in an open-mike forum modeled after the popular TED videos.
The program called TEDxYouth@Coquitlam is being billed as an opportunity for youth to stimulate and engage the community in an inspiring conversation.
Participants are encouraged to share their personal story of perseverance or perspective on community or world issues in a 15 presentation. The event will be held Tuesday, March 27 from 8 a.m. to noon at the Terry Fox Theatre, 1260 Rierwood Gate, Port Coquitlam.
There are limited places available for speakers, so students should get their applications in to Jade Wong (jadew50@hotmail.com) by Thursday, Feb. 16.
