PUSH UPS
Cadets and officers from Port Coquitlam’s 2893 Seaforth army corps pushed their way to success recently — and for a good cause.
They were given 100 days to complete a challenge of 11,000 push-ups/sit-ups, the number corresponding to the distance in kilometres from Vancouver to Kandahar, Afghanistan. Besides getting fit, the event was aimed at raising funds for the Honour House Society, which provides temporary homes for families of Canadian Forces and first responders while they are receiving medical care in Metro Vancouver.
The corps collected $465 for the organization.
