Douglas College wants your pennies
Looking for a place to offload your soon-to-be-discontinued pennies? Douglas College has teamed up with Coast Capital Savings on a penny drive to raise money for student aid.
Tracy Green, Douglas College Foundation co-ordinator, is heading up the fundraiser with multiple collection sites at the Coquitlam and New Westminster campuses. Over at Coast Capital Savings, Bic Dhami, manager of Coquitlam’s Johnson Street branch, is not only collecting pennies but has agreed to help roll them when the fundraiser ends Sept. 30.
In addition to collection sites at both DC campuses, people can drop off pennies at the Coast Capital branches on Johnson and Westwood streets in Coquitlam.
