Bellydancing, zumba-thon

People over 50 years of age can improve their fitness as well as their posture and flexibility by learning to belly dance at Dogwood Pavilion.

The belly dancing classes are offered at Dogwood on six consecutive Wednesdays, starting Oct. 24. Sessions run from 12: 45 to 2 p.m.

Belly dancing, native to north Africa, Asia and the Middle East, incorporates movements that will allow you to stretch, shimmy and undulate your way to a more lithe, flexible and beautiful you. There’s no need for a fancy outfit — dancers should wear comfortable clothes.

Registration is required and the fee for this program is $36. To register, and for more information, call 604-927-6098.
