Young book lovers can join Port Moody kids’ book club

Hey kids, do you love to read? Are you in Grades 5 to 7?

Port Moody Public Library’s kids book club is the place for you.

Club members can have fun as they learn to explore the characters in the books they read and take a more in-depth look at the time period and setting of each story. Members will read two books during each six-week session and do some fun activities related to the stories.

Book clubbers will also become more confident speaking and expressing their thoughts in a group setting. And since the club meets right after school, each meeting begins with a snack.

The PMPL kids book club will meet on alternate Thursdays, from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. in the ParkLane Room, from Jan. 17 to March 28.

Space is limited and registration has begun. You can pick up a registration form at the library or download the form from the Kids page at www.library.portmoody.ca.

For further information, contact program co-ordinator Irene Jakse  at 604-469-4692 or ijakse@portmoody.ca.
