Chinese New Year event at Glen Pine
You can celebrate the Year of the Snake with family and friends on Feb. 15 at Coquitlam’s Glen Pine Pavilion.
Performances from various cultures include: Bhangra dance, Filipino bamboo dance, Korean folk dance, Chinese classical dance all dressed in colourful traditional costumes; as well, the Glen Pine Mandarin Choir, Ridge Meadows String Quartet, the Green Singers, Bavarian yodelling, Glen Pine Leisure Group and the Vogt family musical performance.
Happy hour starts at 5:45 p.m., dinner will be served between 6 and 7 p.m., and entertainment begins at 7:15 p.m.; doors open at 5:30 p.m.
Admission costs $20 for Glen Pine pass holders and $25 for the public, $10 for children under 10 years of age.

Hearts — Forever Strong is a healthy heart maintenance program for those who are living with heart conditions or other health concerns.
It’s a gentle fitness program in a supportive environment and participants will learn about balancing diet and physical activity, and also get introduced to other recreation pursuits offered at Glen Pine Pavilion. Certified instructors will support your journey to better heart health.
Cost is $200 per person and the program runs on Thursdays and Saturdays from Feb. 7 to April 13. To register, call 604-927-4386.
