The Tri-Cities Early Childhood Development Committee is calling for applications about caregivers who have made a difference in the lives of kids — under the age of 6 — and their families.

Bids will be accepted in the following categories:

• individual champion (direct service role)

• individual champion (leadership role)

• individual or group champion (working with children who have extra support needs)

• group or organization champion

• business champion

• and volunteer champion

Nominations from previous years will be accepted.

The committee, made up of Tri-City municipal officials as well as from the Ministry of Children and Family Development, Fraser Health Authority and School District 43, will host its awards banquet on May 10 at the Hard Rock Casino Vancouver, in Coquitlam.
