Round robin for PoCo Mayor's Croquet Tourney

The annual event is a fundraiser for the PoCo Community Foundation.

Dozens of players gathered at a private waterfront property in Port Coquitlam today (Thursday) to raise money for the PoCo Community Foundation.

Mayor Greg Moore's annual croquet tournament saw teams battle in a round-robin for a chance to make it to the "Golden Mallet" playoff game.

Among the players were Moore, Port Moody Mayor Mike Clay, Anmore Mayor John McEwen, North Vancouver city Mayor Darrell Mussatto and Coquitlam-Port Coquitlam Liberal MP Ron McKinnon as well as high-profile business partners.

Presented by Quantum Properties and West Coast Golf Group, the Tri-City News-sponsored event also included a live auction, a catered dinner and dancing.

The foundation started in 2012 with the aim to fund local charities working to help seniors, youth, families, people with disabilities and those with hardships.
