NEW ART
Students, teachers and staff at Place des Arts (1120 Brunette Ave., Coquitlam) highlight their new work in three shows: APEx (visual arts students); Images and Ideas (Art Enhancement students); and Arts Feats (teacher and staff). PINETREE MOVES
Students in Dance 11/12 at Pinetree secondary school (3000 Pinewood Ave., Coquitlam) — including provincial winner Gregory Jungco — present a number of contemporary, Bollywood and hip hop routines, under the direction of teacher Natalee Fera, at 7 p.m. Tickets are $12. GET CONNECTED

TAKE A HIKE

DAISY DAY
Bring your appetite to the eighth annual Daisy Day festival, organized by the Austin Heights Business Improvement Association and sponsored in part by The Tri-City News. SHRED IT

PARADE, PICNIC
Save a spot along Pinetree Way (north of Guildford Way, Coquitlam) where the annual Teddy Bear Picnic Grand Parade will roll, at 9:45 a.m. Afterward, head over to Coquitlam Town Centre Park (1299 Pinetree Way) for a picnic where Mr. I & The Rainbow Singers will take to the stage at 11 a.m. followed by Norden The Magician at noon, Charlotte Diamond at 1 p.m., Mellado Dance Elite at 2:10 p.m. and Tony Prophet at 3:10 p.m. Admission is free (donations accepted). SWING TIME
