A little morning music
Pianist Sarah Hagen will continue her Musical Mornings series at Coquitlam's Evergreen Cultural Centre next month.
She will be joined on Wednesday, Feb. 6 at 10 a.m. by violinst Martin Chalifour, a Montreal native who is principal concertmaster of the L.A. Philharmonic.
Previously, Chalifour was associate and acting concertmaster of the Atlantic Symphony and, more recently, with the Cleveland Orchestra.
A guest soloist and chamber musician, Chalifour performs regularly across Canada, the U.S., Europe, Australia, Mexico and Asia.
Chalifour and Hagen's performance at Evergreen will include Stravinsky’s Suite Italienne, Mozart’s Sonata K.304 and Mendelssohn’s Sonata in F major (1838).
For tickets at $22, call the Evergreen box office at 604-927-6555 or visit evergreenculturalcentre.ca.
