All that jazz at Gleneagle
Well-known Canadian trumpeter, pianist, composer and arranger Alan Matheson rehearsed with music students at Coquitlam’s Gleneagle secondary last Friday for the school’s annual jazz gala.
Matheson will be featured at sold-out dinner/dance this Friday with the Gleneagle jazz combo, vocal jazz and jazz band ensembles.
Culinary arts program students are preparing the meal.
Proceeds will go to buying new musical instruments and gear, supporting music trips and recruiting clinicians to work with the students, said music director Eddie Trovato.
