Elaine Francis, Anna Caltagirone, Ian Subbald, Nancy Golabiewski and Bob Costello share a laugh in Lathered Up, a comedy by Lynn Brittney that’s being presented next week by the Dogwood Drama Club.

The show about “spicing up” a soap opera in trouble runs April 30 at 1:30 p.m., May 2 at 7:30 p.m. and May 4 at 1:30 p.m.

The show is directed by Sue Davey who, in the past, has lead such club romps as Death by Chocolate and Old Actors Never Die - They Simply Lose the Plot — the latter of which was also penned by Brittney.

The British playwright has been writing scripts for two decades and her earlier works were published by Samuel French; she founded a playwrights’ cooperative under the imprint Playstage.

Tickets for Lathered Up at $5 are available at the Coquitlam seniors’ centre gift shop or from the front desk (1655 Winslow Ave.). Call 604-927-6098 or visit coquitlam.ca/dogwood.
