SIGN ME UP: Stay fit on time and on budget in Coquitlam

Everyone knows regular physical activity is good for our hearts, minds and waistlines.

But it can be a challenge to find the time to keep our exercise routines ongoing and engaging.

Busy adults can drop into AquaFit classes at City Centre Aquatic Complex or Poirier Sport and Leisure Complex. Classes are held throughout the week to work with many different schedules. AquaFit classes include:

• Water Running — a great way to increase cardio without the impact of running on land;

• AquaFit Zumba — a water fitness workout with Latin rhythms and easy-to-follow moves;

• and Gentle AquaFit — water aerobics designed for people with limited mobility, arthritis or injury.

As well, a monthly term pass offers savings, convenience and flexibility. With a one-, six- or 12-month pass, users gain unlimited access to aquatic, weight room and drop-in activities at all the Coquitlam pools and fitness centres.

The fitness centres at City Centre Aquatic Complex, Poirier Sport and Leisure Complex, Pinetree community centre and Glen Pine Pavilion provide a variety of registered and drop-in activities, including indoor cycling, Zumba, yoga, pilates, kickboxing, weight room circuit training, and beginner fitness programs.

For more information on monthly passes and other services available, call Coquitlam Parks, Recreation and Culture Services at 604-927-4386 or visit www.coquitlam.ca.
