The Dogwood Drama Club returns to the Pavilion stage in Coquitlam next month to present a program of four plays in one show.

The Dogwood Drama Club returns to the Pavilion stage next month to offer four plays in one show.

Directed by Joanne Stables, the mini-plays are:

  • The Committee by Charles Alverson
    • The reception committee of an exclusive seniors committee interviews a prospective member to make sure he's up to snuff
  • At Halftime by Art Shulman
    • The ladies of an over 60s women's basketball league aren't interested in winning, despite their coach's best efforts
  • Doctor, Doctor by Bob Naquin
    • Patients line up to see Dr. Fatpacker, but they can't get past his silly secretary 
  • Autumn Drive by Roger Cornish
    • In a couple's golden years, the wife decides to take the wheel and learn how to drive

Stage managed by Darlene Rentz, the performances run at 1:30 p.m. in the Mike Butler Room at Dogwood Pavilion in Coquitlam (1655 Winslow Ave.) on:

  • Sunday, May 5 
  • Monday, May 6
  • Tuesday, May 7

Tickets at $10 include light refreshments and can be purchased at the door (cash only), from cast members or at the Dogwood Designs gift shop at Dogwood Pavilion. Call 604-931-5243.
