Bye weeds

Help the Burke Mountain Naturalists and the City of Coquitlam pull English Ivy and Himalayan Blackberry around Como Lake (700 Gatensbury St.) from 9 a.m. to noon. Meet at 9 a.m. on the grass west of the bathrooms. Shovels, clippers and gloves will be supplied.

Seniors' sleep

Dr. Aravindhan Ravindran will be at the Port Coquitlam Community Centre (2150 Wilson Ave.) at 1:30 p.m. to talk about the role yoga plays for seniors to have a good night sleep. Dr. Ravindran is a physician specializing in interventional radiology; his presentation is hosted by the the Wilson Seniors Advisory Association and the City of Port Coquitlam.
