Spray display in Coq. lake
A fountain started spraying this week in Coquitlam’s Lafarge Lake.
Funding for the beautification project and decorative pathway lighting came partly from corporate sponsors — $50,000 from Wesbild and $5,000 from Polygon Homes — as well as casino revenues.
Poor weather, electric designs and the availability of specialized contractors put the launch of the fountain on hold for several months, said Lori MacKay, the city’s general manager for parks.
The fountain and pathway lighting will be on daily until 11 p.m.
