Pets lost after fire
Victims of the 99 Begin St. condo fire are asking their neighbours to watch out for three cats missing since the blaze.
Andrea McDonald of the Coquitlam Animal Shelter said the residents' cats are accustomed to being outside but were likely scared away by the commotion of fire trucks and alarms during Tuesday's blaze.
Georgie is a white male cat with black patches. Champy is a black male cat with white patches. Skagit is an all-black female cat with medium to long hair. All three cats are either spayed or neutered and all have tattoos in their ears.
If anyone thinks they may have seen one of these cats, they are asked to contact the Coquitlam Animal Shelter at 604-927-7386.
No animals are thought to have died in the fire that ripped through the upper level of the three-storey, 75-unit complex.
