At least one person is in police custody after allegedly brandishing a gun in downtown Port Coquitlam Wednesday afternoon.

Police received a 911 just before 4 p.m. from the 2600-block of Shaughnessy Street, said Coquitlam RCMP spokesperson Cpl. Jamie Chung.

Mounties closed part of Elgin Street between Shaughnessy and Maple blocked off while they investigated.

Nobody was hurt and the investigation continues.

More to come.
