Port Moody residents are invited to meet their new mayor and council at an event at the Kyle Centre next week.

Port Moody residents are invited to meet their new mayor and council at an event at the Kyle Centre next week.

The meet-and-greet, located in the Moody Centre neighbourhood, will be held on Wednesday, March 7, between 7 and 9 p.m. behind Old Port Moody City Hall (currently the Port Moody Art Gallery on St. Johns Street intersecting Kyle Street.

Residents will get the opportunity to meet the new mayor and council in an informal setting and discuss any issues that they have. All residents are welcome and a toonie draw will be held.

 

BUDGET TALK

The city of Port Moody will also be holding budget deliberations for the 2012 financial plan at an upcoming budget town hall meeting this week.

The event will take place at the Inlet Theatre (100 Newport Dr., Port Moody) on Wednesday, Feb. 29, beginning at 7 p.m.
