Delays on Ioco
Drivers using Ioco Road can expect some extra delays due to fire hall construction.
The work started Feb. 27 and the city is asking motorists to give themselves extra time to reach their destination, and to cooperate with construction staff.
The delays are due to preliminary work for the new fire hall at the corner of Newport Drive and Ioco Road. An existing city water main, as well as utilities from Telus, BC Hydro and FortisBC need to be relocated before construction can begin.
The work will run until June 1 and will also affect Newport Drive and Knowle Street.
