Police are investigating after the discovery of a man
Police are investigating after the discovery of a man's body in a creek near Irvine elementary in Port Coquitlam Monday morning.

A man's body has been found in a creek near Irvine elementary in Port Coquitlam.

The gruesome discovery was made by a passerby walking in the 3800-block of Wellington Street this morning. Coquitlam RCMP and the BC Coroners Service are investigating, but the Integrated Homicide Investigation Team has not yet been called.

"It's still very early in terms of the investigation," said Cpl. Jamie Chung. No information about the man has been released yet.
