Port Coquitlam prepares for downtown car show
Preparations for Port Coquitlam’s biggest summer event are under way.
During Monday’s meeting, city council approved the necessary permits to allow the eighth annual Port Coquitlam Business Improvement Association Downtown Car Show, which will feature hundreds of hot rods and vintage cars on Sunday, Aug. 19 (10 a.m. to 6 p.m.).
Last year, more than 500 vehicles and 40,000 people flooded the city’s downtown for what has become an annual tradition for hobbyists and car enthusiasts from across the Lower Mainland.
