Traffic was briefly stalled on Lougheed Highway near the Coquitlam River bridge Wednesday morning during rush hour while Coquitlam RCMP investigated circumstances surrounding a body found in the area.

No foul play is suspected and there is no indication the death was an accident, Cpl. Jamie Chung said.

The body was found near the river by a passerby and the incident was called in at 7 a.m. Next of kin is being notified, Chung said.
