Evergreen Line issues call for power supply
The Evergreen Line has issued another tender for the installation of new underground power supply lines in Coquitlam.
The power supply will be used to operate the new rapid transit line when it opens in summer 2016.
Work will include digging a 1.5 m trench, installing BC Hydro duct banks to house the power lines and resurfacing the road to the previous condition.
Construction will take place in the following areas of Coquitlam:
• Pinetree Way from Glen Drive to Town Centre Boulevard;
• the Mariner Way access road to the West Coast Express park-and-ride for Coquitlam Central Station;
• and Falcon Drive at Barnet Highway.
The work is expected to take about three months, with completion slated for next spring.
