Riding association set to give nod to Robinson's candidacy
The Coquitlam-Maillardville NDP Constituency Association expects to acclaim Coquitlam Coun. Selina Robinson at its upcoming meeting.
With the acclamation, Robinson will be the provincial NDP candidate in the riding, replacing current Coquitlam Maillardville MLA Diane Thorne, who is retiring.
The meeting will be held Sunday, Nov. 25 at the Royal Canadian Legion, 1025 Ridgeway Ave., in Coquitlam, with registration between 1:45 and 12:30 p.m. and the meeting starting at 12:35 p.m.
Both Robinson and Thorne are expected to speak. As well, there will be refreshments.
Robinson was the only candidate to file nominating papers before the deadline.
