Coquitlam RCMP closed off an elementary school on Wednesday afternoon after three students believed they saw an armed man walking through the school yard.

Cpl. Jamie Chung said the lockdown at Mundy Road elementary on Austin Avenue was lifted after about an hour, at 2 p.m., when police searches on the ground and in the air did not locate a suspect.
