Falling ice causes closure of Port Mann
Falling has prompted the closure of the Port Mann bridge this afternoon and police said it will not be re-opened until weather conditions improve.
The RCMP Lower Mainland District Traffic Services said that all lanes of the bridge have been closed in both directions after drive was hurt from falling ice.
"The closure was necessary because falling ice from the bridge injured a motorist who required ambulance attendance, and damaged vehicles," said Sgt. Peter Thiessen. "The bridge was closed for safety reasons and will be re-opened as soon as the weather situation improves."
