Daylight carjacking in Coquitlam
Coquitlam RCMP are looking for two men who donned ski gear for a Saturday morning crime spree.
Just before 9:30 a.m. on Dec. 22 the men, dressed in ski jackets, ski pants, black masks and goggles, stole a Ford Taurus from the Home Depot parking lot on United Boulevard. They then headed up to Austin Avenue, where they robbed a private liquor store at gunpoint.
They got away with an undisclosed amount of cash and some liquor.
A short time later police received a report of a carjacking, this time outside a lighting store in the 1300-block of United Boulevard, where it's believed the suspects used the gun to force two women out of a Range Rover.
That vehicle was found later in Surrey, torched by fire.
Both suspects are described as Caucasian men about six feet tall. They were wearing ski jackets, pants, black masks, goggles and snow boots; one was in green, the other in black.
Anyone with information is asked to call Coquitlam RCMP at 604-945-1550.
