A Port Coquitlam woman who failed to comply with her release conditions and was wanted by police has been arrested in Surrey.

Sonja Cook, 41, was released from the Surrey Forensic Clinic and was required to stay at a recovery house in Port Coquitlam but Coquitlam RCMP report she was last seen on Jan. 14 by staff at the facility.

Cpl. Jamie Chung confirmed Monday that she turned herself in and was arrested that morning, and was expected to appear in BC Provincial Court in Port Coquitlam in the afternoon.

MISSING MAN

Coquitlam resident Kyle Savage, 36, was located safe and sound, police reported.

His family reported him missing last week after not hearing from him for the past three days. He has gone out in the past but it's unusual for him to stay away for this long without contacting his family, police say.

No details were given on where Savage was found.
