Port Coquitlam man wanted in stabbing
The Coquitlam RCMP is searching for a suspect in a stabbing that took place earlier this month that sent one man to hospital.
Matthew Jowett-Work is wanted on charges of assault causing bodily harm and assault with a weapon. Police said he also has warrants for uttering threats and theft in relation to another incident.
The victim was stabbed at around 11 p.m. on Feb. 10 in the hallway of an apartment on Coquitlam Avenue in Port Coquitlam and received non-life threatening injuries. He was taken to hospital and was released after receiving medical treatment.
Coquitlam RCMP Cpl. Jamie Chung said the victim and suspect knew each other but police could not say what led to the altercation.
"We can't disclose that at this time," Chung said. "That is something we are hoping to talk to the suspect about."
