Prankster tosses firework into Coquitlam porta-potty
A rather smelly practical joke late Tuesday night drew Coquitlam RCMP and fire crews to a site at Kingston Street and Galloway Avenue.
Cpl. Jamie Chung said an officer was patrolling nearby when she was flagged down by somebody who reported hearing a loud bang, followed by smoke, coming from a porta-potty.
Coquitlam Fire and Rescue were called to put out the blaze while police canvassed for witnesses. Chung said the fire was likely due to a firework being set off inside the toilet.
Anybody with information about the incident is asked to call police at 604-945-1550 and quote file number 2013-6814.
