The BC Liberals have selected Steve Kim to carry the party banner in Coquitlam-Maillardville in the upcoming provincial election.

The Centennial secondary graduate and founder of marketing firm Boilingpoint Group said the Liberals were the best party to grow the provincial economy.

"The next election will be a critical event for the future of B.C.," he said. "Today's BC Liberals have a clear plan to grow B.C.'s economy, but that progress will be put at risk if the NDP are elected."

Kim grew up in Coquitlam-Maillardville and is also the former chair of the C3 Korean Canadian Society. He attended the University of Western Ontario and holds a masters degree from Korea University.
