Noh spotted, but police are still searching for missing 64 year old
Shin Ik Noh, the Coquitlam man with Alzheimer's who went missing last week, was spotted several times on Burke Mountain over the weekend.
Police are urging anyone who sees the missing 64-year-old to phone 911 immediately and stay with him until officers arrive.
Noh was reported missing from the Lansdowne Drive and Guildford Way area last Wednesday afternoon after he did not return home from a walk. Coquitlam RCMP Cpl. Jamie Chung said the missing man is in good physical health and could easily travel long distances on foot.
"He is able-bodied," Chung said last week. "He could walk anywhere by now. Because of his medical condition, we have deemed him a high risk."
Noh is described as an Asian male, 5'6" tall with an average build; he is clean shaven and has black hair, which is greying on the sides. When he left his house, he was wearing a green and blue plaid shirt, dark green pants and a black New York Rangers ball cap.
Anyone who has seen Noh is asked to call Coquitlam RCMP immediately at 604-945-1550 and quote file number 2013-27945. If you wish to remain anonymous, contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) or go online at www.solvecrime.ca.
