Do you have a courageous cousin? A dad with determination? A brave brother or a hopeful friend?

You can now send those personalized words to a loved one as part of a new fundraising campaign launched last week by the Terry Fox Foundation.

The trait descriptors, often used for the Port Coquitlam hometown hero on his epic Marathon of Hope journey in 1980, can be emailed to family and friends for Christmas.

And the eDonation will support the Chilliwack-based charity that collects cash to research cancer, the disease that claimed Fox's life in 1981. To send the online gift, visit; a tax receipt will be emailed immediately.

Meanwhile, the B.C./Yukon branch of the Terry Fox Foundation has several 2013 Terry Fox Run T-shirts and hoodies available for purchase. Visit the office at 2669 Shaughnessy St., Port Coquitlam or call 604-464-2666.
