Nominations are now open for the second annual PoCo Best Biz Awards, an event in honour of Port Coquitlam's entrepreneurs.

Participants can nominate either their own business or one belonging to someone else by going to www.portcoquitlam.ca/bizawards between now and Oct. 2.

Businesses may be nominated in up to two of the five categories:

• super service: for outstanding customer service;

• home-based business: for home-based businesses that can demonstrate significant growth;

• living green: for entrepreneurs exemplifying environmental sustainability;

• PoCo star award: for a business that has drawn positive attention to the city;

• and the giving back award: for businesses that can demonstrate commitment and contributions to the PoCo community.

The winners will be selected by a panel of city and business representatives and the awards will be held at the PoCo Best Biz Awards Celebration on Oct. 30 between 6 and 9 p.m. at the PoCo Inn and Suites.
