Coquitlam woman dies in crash near Merritt

A young Coquitlam woman has been identified as the victim of a motor vehicle incident near Merritt on Aug. 31.

Elizabeth Joan Savoie, 27, was the front-seat passenger in a car that was heading south on the Coquihalla Highway at about 6:45 p.m. About 13 km north of Merritt the car went out of control and rolled multiple times; Savoie died at the scene.

The BC Coroners Service and RCMP Traffic Services continue to investigate the incident.
