Coquitlam Kinsmen craft beer fest gets hopping

The inaugural Coquitlam Kinsmen Craft Beer Festival got underway at Town Centre Park this afternoon (Saturday), with more than 100 guests lined up to enter within the first hour.

The inaugural Coquitlam Kinsmen Craft Beer Festival got underway at Town Centre Park this afternoon (Saturday), with more than 100 guests lined up to enter within the first hour.

Attendees received a four-ounce sample glass to try out the numerous domestic and foreign beers on tap. As well, they received a program guide that included a letter of congratulations to the Coquitlam Kinsmen from Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.

The festival is part of the city's 125th anniversary celebrations.

Held during the BC Day long weekend, the event runs today and tomorrow (Sunday) from 1 to 9 p.m., west of the Percy Perry Stadium. Visit kinsmencraftbeerfest.com.
