Coquitlam RCMP are hoping the public can help identify a suspect in connection with two alleged armed robberies on Nov. 15 in Burquitlam.

Shortly before 9:30 p.m. on Sunday evening a man walked into a convenience store in the 500-block of Cottonwood Avenue, allegedly brandishing a knife, and robbed the business. A short time later the same man is believed to have robbed a nearby restaurant using a similar method.

In each incident police say the victims did not argue with the suspect and called police immediately after he fled.

The suspect is described as a fair-skinned Caucasian or Asian man about 25 years old, about six feet tall and 185 pounds with dark eyes and dyed blond hair with long bangs and dark roots. At the time of the incidents he was wearing a black hoody, a black bomber-style jacket with fur around the collar, a black shirt with "Academy" written on it, light blue jeans with ripped bottoms, black runners with white soles and a wooden cross necklace.
