Foul play is not suspected after two bodies were found last Friday afternoon in a hotel room in the 600-block of Lougheed Highway in Coquitlam.

Mounties would not say much about the incident, only that the Integrated Homicide Investigation Team had not been called in and that the deaths do not appear to be suspicious.

"There is no indication of violence," said Coquitlam RCMP Cpl. Michael McLaughlin. "Investigators are not looking for suspects. We don't believe there is any risk to the public."

The two were found in the same room at around 2:30 p.m. Friday after police received a phone call from a member of the public. Investigators would not confirm the age or gender of the deceased people.

"The investigation is in its early stages," McLaughlin said.
