A pedestrian is recovering in serious but stable condition after getting hit by a car in the 3100-block of Plateau Boulevard in Coquitlam Tuesday night.
The incident occurred shortly after 6 p.m. and the Integrated Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Service was called in to investigate.
Coquitlam RCMP Cpl. Michael McLaughlin said the drive was not impaired and there was no indication they were driving over the speed limit.
"Obviously, being at night, there is always that increased danger of collisions," he said. "There is no criminality on the part of the driver. They seem to have done everything they were suppose to do."
While the incident occurred earlier in the evening, he added that investigators were on scene well into the night.
