Business owners in downtown Port Coquitlam can gear up for the next PoCo Grand Prix by attending an information session next week.

Hosted by the city and the Downtown PoCo Business Improvement Association, the meeting is Wednesday from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the Gathering Place (beside city hall) and will include presentations about the second annual cycling race.

Merchants can give feedback about how last summer's event impacted their business and can learn how to take advantage of the major tourism draw, happening July 14.

Representatives from Caps Westwood Cycle and Samz Pub as well as race director Mark Ernsting will be on hand to talk about their experience.

For more information about the Jan. 18 meeting, call 604-927-5218 or email grandprix@portcoquitlam.ca. For details about PoCo Grand Prix — and how to volunteer and be a sponsor — visit pocograndprix.ca.
