An 88-year-old woman from Port Coquitlam was rushed to hospital with minor injuries last Friday after she accidentally drove into two storefront businesses.
Police say the incident happened at around noon on Dec. 30 when the driver mistakingly stepped on the gas pedal instead of the brake while in the parking lot of the Westwood Street strip mall, near Davies Avenue.
"This should serve as a warning," Cpl. Mike McLaughlin of Coquitlam RCMP said. "This happens more than people realize."
