A Port Coquitlam man has been charged after a BC Children's Hospital collection box was stolen from a Port Moody business.

A Port Coquitlam man is facing charges in connection with the theft of a BC Children's Hospital charity box from the counter of a Port Moody business on July 27.

Port Moody Police identified a 45-year-old PoCo man who is known to police for similar offences and arrested him on July 28 as he left B.C. Provincial Court in Surrey. He had been released on bail for other unrelated charges.

Victor Hansen's next court appearance in PoCo will be on Aug. 10 on charges of theft under $5,000 and failure to comply with a probation order.
