Still buzzing with the morning's announcement that the Evergreen Line will open before Christmas, the Tri-City business community met in Port Moody last night (Thursday) to hear what the area's mayors had to say at an annual Chamber of Commerce feast.

The leaders of Coquitlam, Port Coquitlam and Port Moody — commonly referred to as The Three Amigos — were joined for the first time on stage by Anmore's mayor.

Richard Stewart, Greg Moore, Mike Clay and John McEwen dished up some banter to the crowd of 125 people at the Inlet Theatre but also touch on such serious topics as housing and office affordability, employment, growth trends, regional collaboration, red tape reduction and transportation challenges.

Moore, the board chair of Metro Vancouver, also highlighted PoCo's move to update its downtown core and recreation complex.

The BBQ was sponsored in part by Port of Vancouver, the Employment Roundtable of the Tri-Cities and The Tri-City News.
