Re. “Problem with transportation in Metro is the province” (Letters, The Tri-City News, Nov. 3).
In response to Port Coquitlam Mayor Greg Moore’s letter: Metro Vancouver’s mayors did not get the message from the transportation referendum result: NO MORE TAXES.
Build your 10-year vision when you have the money in the bank.
Unfortunately, the new provincial government will find a way to replace the toll removal by imposing more taxes on all motorists.
I do agree on one thing Mayor Moore said, to dedicate not a small portion of the carbon tax to transportation but, I say, all of it — problem solved.
