Re. “More cash for mgmt. of rec centre project” (The Tri-City News, March 10).
The only thing worse than Port Coquitlam’s director of engineering and public works admitting that her staff didn’t know what they were doing when they hired the Tango Management Group for the new rec centre — and as a result, incurring a $1-million overrun — is Mayor Greg Moore saying it’s not a problem because the city can still accommodate the cost.
The city will not be accommodating the extra $1 million — PoCo residents will.
