Krgovich commits to hockey Clan
Coquitlam product Michael Krgovich, a Jr. ‘A’ Express alumnus and current Coquitlam Jr. Adanac lacrosse player, has committed to play university hockey with the Simon Fraser Clan beginning next fall.
The 21-year-old forward played in 96 Western Hockey League games with the Red Deer Rebels and Chilliwack Bruins before concluding his junior career with the BCHL Express, who obtained him via a trade last season with the Surrey Eagles.
“SFU is a great school and, being a local kid, it just made sense,” said Krgovich, who scored 44 points, including 21 goals, in 49 games with the Express last season. “The on-ice and off-ice excellence that is offered is stop drawer... SFU [was] an easy decision for me.”
