PoCo's Collins top student-athlete at SFU
Port Coquitlam's Kristina Collins was among 11 Simon Fraser University student-athletes to be named recipients of the NCAA Div. 2 Athletic Directors Academic Achievement Award, it was announced Friday.
A Riverside secondary grad, Collins is entering her junior year as a guard on the Clan's women's basketball team.
To be eligible for the award, student-athletes must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or higher on a 4.0 scale, have completed a minimum of two years (four semesters) of college level work and be a member of an intercollegiate team during his or her last academic year.
